Leicester’s respiratory research has been selected as one of the National Institute for Health Research’s (NIHR) Biomedical Research Centres (BRC).
The five year funding package will see the continuation of research into respiratory, cardiovascular and lifestyle research studies across Leicester hospitals under the newly-named Leicester Biomedical Research Centre. The BRC application was worked in partnership with University of Leicester and Loughborough University.
The success is also to be shared with our patients and volunteers whom we have a strong partnership with. We look forward to developing new medicines and looking after people with lung disease.
